What is Revalidation?

Revalidation is a process that will help you to demonstrate that your practice is up to date and that you practise within the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Code.  To access ‘The Code’ please click here http://www.nmc.org.uk/standards/code/

Some Practice Nurses are concerned about revalidation. This e-module has been designed to help you by identifying ways in which you can plan exactly how you are going to meet the requirements of the Revalidation process.

Thinking point

You are going to be the owner of your own Revalidation process and take responsibility for meeting its requirements.

  • What do you need to know about the Revalidation process and its requirements?
  • Which healthcare colleagues can you discuss Revalidation with?
  • Where can you find further support and information?
